How do I follow up with an employer for a confidential posting?

We understand your interest and desire in following up on job applications. The reason we do not have a follow-up option is that employers/recruiters don't want it. They receive so many applications and unfortunately, they do not have the time to field any follow-up questions. They have a very vetted process of hiring and they don't let qualified people fall through the cracks. We know it feels good to be proactive, but the employer will reach out if there is interest.
